Is this an anxiety symptom left arm pain, tingling in fingers.?

Is there anyone out there who experiences left arm pain/gripping with tingling in the fingers, i have been getting this for the last week. i suffer With GAD, but this is a new one to me.

Without knowing your age or gender , it’s a little hard to say. Do you have diabetes ? Because that could be a sign of retinopathy . Do you smoke ? It could be a circulatory problem If you are older it could Be signs of heart problems. The number 1 killer of women is not breast or ant other kinds of cancer , but heart diseases. You need to go to your Dr and have them to an EEG and an EKG to rule out any problems . I also have GAD and when I get strange aches and pains , I always assume the worst. And then anxiety can make the pains more intense. Go get a check up to put your mind at ease and then when you are assured it’s just your anxiety , you can do breathing exercises to relieve the symptoms. Good Luck to you.

  1. Sarah B Said,

if you are youngish and are fairly good physically healthy it is likely to be anxiety. You may be over breathing which causes these symptoms-tingling muscle tightness claw hands etc.

If you are older espesh male overweight smoker, with poor diet excersise you may be suffering heart related syptoms if it continues seek immediate medical help!!

    Best wishes

yes, everyones right it CAN be heart related. but that really depends on your position. are you older or younger? are you overweight or have diabetes, or anything like that? or does in run in your family? if you have any of those you should see a doctor, cause it could be related to your heart. but other than that, yes that is an anxiety symptom. for awhile i had really bad panic attacks and anxiety, and that was one of the main things that would happen to me. one time my arm went so numb and tingly that i had to smack it, and i ended up having a panic attack. its really weird how many things anxiety can do to you. are you going through stressful stuff right now? or is there something in the past that you maybe havent resolved in your mind yet, or havent faced? anxiety is a horrible thing. if you get other symptoms like night sweats, cold sweats, nausea, increased heart rate, shivers, problems breathing, or feeling of impending doom, it most likely is anxiety. if you just have the arm pain alone by its self, id go get it checked. it might be something else.
